The Allocated IPs is the section in Wedge that allows allocating IP addresses. The way how this feature work is equal to Public IP features from other solutions. The allocated IP address may be used to combine with Address translation to redirect traffic from the Internet to selected internal IP. Such configuration allows creating secured and manageable Public IP addresses for your internal services.
Redirect traffic to internal resources
You have an internal server that you want to make available publicly. Add new Allocated IP - this will be your Public IP for the server. Create Address translation to redirect traffic from Allocated IP to the internal IP address of the Server.
The server will be able to receive traffic from the internet.
In the center part of the screen, you may find the list of all Allocated IPs existing in the Ecosystem.
The search option on this section allows searching for any addresses that exist in this Ecosystem. Searching works on any text-type value, this means that you can search by any value that describes the object.
The Address section allows creating new Allocated IPs by clicking on the Add New Allocated IP button.
Input the descriptive name and optionally the description, then click on the Add button. New Allocated IP will appear on the list with added name and the IP address from Acreto public address pool.
